Overview

After School Tutoring

After school tutoring is provided every trimester by individual teachers 2-3 times a week. This program is based on student need.

After School ELD Homework Club

provided to support students learning English as a second language

After School Enrichment Classes

These classes are provided in 6 week sessions, 3 times a year. Classes include: art, Spanish, technology, jewelry making, gardening, yoga, Lego engineering, book club, STEM, and leadership

Cabrillo Dance Team

Our dance team practices twice a week and performs at athletic events, assemblies, Cougar Day, and other school events.

Cabrillo Running Club

Running club practices twice a week before and after school. Students engage in various track events and character building throughout the school year.

ASES After School Program

Overview

We have ASES after school program, also called The Center. Cabrillo provides free after school care for students TK-6. The program runs from the end of the school day until 6:00 pm. Our program director is Mr. Nate.

Athletics

Overview

Cabrillo participates in the District Elementary Sports Program. Students in 4-6th grade can play football and basketball. Football is played in the fall and coached by Norman Miller. Basketball is played in the winter and coached by Norman Miller. 

We also offer many small sided sports events during recess throughout the school year.

Leader in Me

John Cabrillo is proud to be a Leader in Me school site. We constantly strive to develop leadership skills in all members of our Cabrillo community and practice the seven habits. Each month classes highlight a particular habit and infuse them into the classroom culture and academic instruction.
